Sam Whitaker

Sam is Task Ant's fact-check and safety editor. No page goes live, and no significant update is published, until Sam (or another named reviewer) has checked it.

A review covers:

• Checking every number, limit and date against a cited source, preferably Instagram's, Meta's, TikTok's or YouTube's own documentation.
• Confirming that step-by-step instructions match the current app, and removing claims that can't be verified.
• Making sure no page recommends a tool that asks for an Instagram password or breaks Instagram's terms.
• Handling reader reports sent through the corrections page.

Sam also writes the account, privacy and safety guides, including honest explanations of topics that attract scams, such as private profile viewers and follower trackers. The review process Sam follows is set out in the editorial policy.
